Media entrepreneur and politician Dele Momodu has shared a remarkable story about his childhood, revealing that prophecies made about him at a young age foretold that he would become famous if he survived his first seven years of life.
Speaking during an interview from 3:45 on Nevon HQ, on Tuesday, 7 July, 2026, Momodu reflected on his early years in Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he grew up in a deeply religious environment. He explained that his family believed strongly in divine revelations, and several prophecies surrounded his birth and childhood. According to him, one of the most memorable predictions was that he would achieve fame if he lived beyond the age of seven.
Recalling the experience, Momodu said, “I remember by the time I was about 7 years old, there were prophecies that if I survive the first 7 years, I will be famous. And I used to wonder how in that environment of Ile-Ife how anybody could be famous.”
He noted that, as a child, the prophecy seemed difficult to believe because he could not imagine how someone from his immediate surroundings could attain national or international recognition.
