A Former Presidential Aide, Doyin Okupe has alleged that the Federal Government has exercised restraint in not retaliating against Labour’s provocative actions during it strike. He condemned the actions of Labour for shutting down the National Grid.

He expressed relief that the nation’s current leadership, under Bola Tinubu, is managing affairs with a sense of democratic principles. He argued that there is no need for violence or extreme measures to make the government attentive to the people’s concerns.

He said in an interview with Channels TV from minute 27:34, ”Let’s not lose focus at any time, Labour went off course by going to shut off the National Grid. That is evil, it’s sinful, it’s unacceptable, and it’s criminal. But I’m happy that we are having at this present time a man like Bola Tinubu that is saddled with affairs.

And I’m sure he believes that being a Democrat, he should not be high-handed. That is okay but the government at some point always has to draw the line. We are having all this discussion because FG did not launch a reprisal on Labour. We don’t have to carry machetes, guns, or petrol bombs before government will listen to us.”….Sée Móre
