Senator Cleopas Moses, National Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has praised Peter Obi for what he described as a modest lifestyle and simple approach to personal security.

Speaking during an interview from 7:12  with Nigeria Right Now, Moses said he observed Obi after a meeting and was struck by the way the presidential candidate moved despite his political position.

Moses said he was waiting for his own vehicle when Obi came out and entered his car. According to him, only two other people joined Obi, while a single Hilux vehicle followed behind them.

He added that he noticed no more than two police officers around Obi and said their presence was not obvious as a conventional security detail.

Moses said he waited for Obi to leave before departing and described the experience as impressive. He noted that Obi is a widely recognised presidential candidate and said his modest movement stood out compared with the convoys often associated with politicians.

He contrasted Obi’s small entourage with politicians who, according to him, sometimes travel with numerous vehicles and large numbers of security personnel.
