In a recent interview from 20:36 on TVC News, Mojeed Jamiu, executive editor of Upshot Media, spoke on the growing political calculations surrounding the 2027 presidential election and the challenges opposition figures may face during party primaries.
During the interview, Jamiu stated, “Peter Obi cannot confront Atiku Abubakar in a primary election any day.” He made the remark while discussing the internal dynamics of opposition politics and the possible contest for presidential tickets ahead of the next general elections.
He referenced Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, arguing that Atiku’s longstanding political structure, national network, and influence within party systems give him a significant advantage in any direct primary contest.
