Dasola Mishral, the mother of one of the pupils rescued from the abduction at Community High School, Esiele, in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has recounted the frightening events that unfolded during the attack on the school.

She described the incident as one of the most traumatic experiences her family has ever faced, expressing gratitude that the victims have now regained their freedom.

Speaking during an interview from 1:56 on Channels Television, on Monday, 13 July, 2026, following the rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers, Mishral recalled the panic that engulfed the community when armed men struck.

According to her, “What happened on 15th of May was terrifying. We heard gunshots and people started running helter-skelter. We were all devastated but we are grateful for the intervention that has brought relief.”

Mishral said the weeks that followed the abduction were filled with uncertainty, anxiety and constant prayers for the safe return of the children and teachers.
