Mr. Isaac Alabura, a retired Master Warrant Officer, has spoken about his son, Lt. Felix Ademe Isaac, the Nigerian Army officer who died during an operation to rescue teachers and schoolchildren abducted in Oriire LGA of Oyo State.

According to a report by Daily Trust on Monday, July 13, 2026, Alabura said his son’s death has caused his family deep pain. He stated that Lt. Isaac had just returned from training at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Jaji, Kaduna, and was preparing to report to Sokoto for another assignment.

Alabura said that around 3:00 p.m., Lt Isaac was instead directed to lead the rescue operation in Oyo, where he later lost his life. He appealed to the military authorities and the Oyo State Government to support his family, saying his son paid the ultimate price while serving Nigeria.
