In a recent interview from 7:55 shared by Channels TV, Spokesperson of the Kachikwu-led faction of the African Democratic Congress, Norman Obinna, addressed the lingering internal crisis within the party and the growing number of court cases surrounding its leadership.
Obinna explained that the legal action initiated by some members, including Nafiu Bala, was not intended to destabilize the party but to seek clarity on constitutional issues and leadership processes. According to him, the dispute centers on whether due process was followed in the conduct of party congresses and the recognition of leadership structures.
He dismissed claims that the court case was driven by personal grievances, insisting that it was rooted in protecting the integrity of the party’s constitution.
