In a report by Daily Post on Thursday, July 16, 2026, Fayose explained that his friendship with people who support the ruling party does not affect his support for Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Fayose said this after sharing details of his meeting with Seyi Tinubu, businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, and other personalities.

The commentator said political differences should not destroy relationships, noting that he can maintain friendship with people from different political backgrounds while still supporting his preferred candidate.

“I love Tinubu; there is no hate in my DNA, and they accept my decision to vote and campaign for my own candidate, Peter Obi, and we still remain family. We do politics without hate. I am still 100% Obidient,” Fayose stated.

He added that his meeting with Seyi Tinubu ended on a positive note, revealing that they prayed together for President Tinubu and themselves.
