A senior Iranian military commander issued a strong warning to regional countries on Saturday, urging them to carefully reconsider any ongoing cooperation with the United States.
According to a report by Iran International on August 1, 2026, he stressed that those nations allowing themselves to serve as a shield for American forces could easily get pulled into the conflict.
Major General Ali Abdollahi, who commands Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, called on Muslim countries to demonstrate foresight by closely monitoring America’s moves and rethinking their partnerships and alignments with Washington.
He made clear that any country positioning itself as a defensive shield for the United States would burn in the fire of war.
In his words, “Any country that makes itself a defensive shield for the United States, will burn in the fire of war.”
