ADC chieftain Solomon Dalung has defended Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde following controversy over his remarks about the 1965 Operation Wetie crisis starting in Ibadan.

Speaking in an interview from 18:01 with Symfoni TV, Dalung said, “Governor Makinde only proved that he is a typical Yoruba man with a good sense of history and historical narration. I agreed with everything Makinde said. It is a very good reminder, because if we forget history, we will be tempted to repeat its worst moments. Makinde was only telling them that do not imagine that what you are doing is without precedent.”
