As reported by Daily Post on Friday, July, 2026, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, has expressed alarm over a supposed death threat he received from individuals believed to be Fulani herdsmen.

Dachomo revealed this information after new assaults took place in certain areas of Plateau State. He mentioned that the letter, which was written in both English and Hausa languages, contained threats directed at him and his family members. He also noted that some church members received copies of this letter.

The cleric clarified that the correspondence suggested the authors planned to launch an attack on him and his family. He indicated that he had already sent copies of the letter to law enforcement for investigation and suitable action.

Dachomo additionally stated that those responsible for the letter have taken credit for the deaths of some of his family members in earlier assaults. He voiced his worries about the ongoing insecurity impacting communities throughout Plateau State and urged for enhanced measures to safeguard residents and stop additional violence.
