Desmond Chinedu, a businessman and Chief Security Officer of Orsu-Ihiteukwa in Imo State, has spoken about the criminal activities of IPOB fighters in his community

Speaking in an interview from 23:52 with News Central TV, Chinedu said he was living in Lagos when the ESN, the armed wing of IPOB, was setting up a camp. He stated that he watched reports about it on television and did not know that the camp was being set up in his hometown.

Chinedu said the Federal Government should not release Nnamdi Kanu despite calls for his freedom. He stated that, in his opinion, releasing him would increase insecurity in the South-East. He added that since Kanu was detained, the activities of IPOB fighters had reduced to some extent.
