The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore has reacted after a man told him not to wear his beret while entering Edo state.
The reaction of Omoyele Sowore was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on July 7, 2026.
This is coming after the man stated that beret is not allowed during campaigns in Edo state.
“Sowore, we are not asking you not to come to Edo state to campaign for AAC members. You can come and campaign for your people. But if we see anybody with beret claiming to be freedom fighter, we will beat him, hand him over to police and he will be taken to special court”.
However, Omoyele Sowore has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that he made on his official X handle, he said the revolution will start from Edo state.
