In a recent video from 11:45 shared on News Central TV on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, public affairs analyst Jide Ojo assessed the deepening fragmentation within Nigeria’s opposition camp and the implications for the 2027 general election.

He further observed that ongoing disagreements, party realignments, and factional interests continue to shape the direction of opposition politics ahead of the 2027 elections. According to him, these dynamics may ultimately determine whether the opposition can present a credible alternative or remain divided at the polls.
The analyst stressed that the opposition’s biggest challenge remains coordination among its leading figures. He suggested that unless a consensus candidate or a strong alliance emerges, the chances of electoral success could be significantly reduced.
Ojo concluded that the political landscape ahead of 2027 will largely depend on whether opposition leaders are willing to set aside individual ambitions in favour of a unified strategy capable of matching the strength of their competitors….Read_More…
