Primate Elijah Ayodele has revisited his earlier warning about a possible political clash between Nyesom Wike and some governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a post shared on his official Facebook page from 6:59 on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Ayodele responded to critics who had questioned his earlier statement, pointing to recent disagreements involving Wike and some APC governors.
“I said APC governors would fight Nyesom Wike; now, is it not happening?”
Ayodele said the developments were consistent with the warning he had previously issued about the relationship between Wike and the governors.
The cleric suggested that the disagreements could attract greater attention as politicians intensify their political activities and strategic moves ahead of the 2027 general election.
He maintained that his earlier comments were based on his assessment of the political situation involving Wike and the APC governors.
