In a recent video from 02:43 on YouTube, Senior pastor of Apostle Johnson Suleman has called on Christians to exercise wisdom, discretion, and compassion when confronted with the private struggles of others.
Speaking during a recent sermon, the leader of Omega Fire Ministries International used a simple scenario to illustrate the dangers of gossip and the responsibility believers have when they witness personal conflicts.
“Are you listening to what I’m saying?” Suleman asked the congregation while emphasizing the importance of spiritual maturity.
He described a situation where someone encounters a couple arguing in public.
“You are walking somewhere, a husband and the wife are quarreling. You met them quarreling,” he said. “Then the next thing you are telling people they are quarreling.”
According to the preacher, such behavior reflects a misuse of the access or information people sometimes receive about others’ lives.
“The secret you know about people is because of the access they gave you,” Suleman explained. “If they didn’t give you that access, you wouldn’t know they are quarreling.”
Instead of spreading information, he encouraged believers to turn such moments into opportunities for spiritual support.
“Wisdom demands when you see that, it becomes their strength,” he said. “Stand with them. Pray for them. Pray. Pick them up in prayer. Say, ‘Lord, I don’t like this.’”
Suleman stressed that protecting people’s dignity and praying for them is a higher expression of faith than exposing their weaknesses. Read_More…
