The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has urged the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intensify efforts in tackling insecurity and rising cases of kidnapping and killings across the country.
Primate Ayodele made the remarks during a prophetic session shared on his official Facebook page from 1:26 on Friday, May 29, 2026, where he expressed concern over the worsening security situation in several states.
Speaking during the session, the cleric warned that the growing insecurity in the country should not be ignored, stressing that decisive measures must be taken to protect lives and restore public confidence. “If the insecurity is not, if Tinubu does not stop insecurity, it’s a small thing. Is Tinubu is not interested in this killings,” he said.
He further suggested that any state experiencing persistent kidnappings and killings should be placed under a state of emergency in order to address the situation more effectively. “Any state where there is kidnapping or killings, declare state of emergency. Anything bad about that?” he stated.
Primate Ayodele added that he believed the President may be concerned about the security challenges facing the country, while insisting that his comments were based on what he described as divine revelation. “I wish, maybe I think the president is interested. Maybe. Yes. I’m talking as a prophet. I fear nobody. That is the word of the Lord,” he added.
The cleric also questioned the response of political leaders to the continued wave of violence affecting ordinary Nigerians, security personnel and public office holders. “If they caught any of the governor’s family, they are killing honorables. Killing police, killing armies,” he said.
Referring to reports of abducted children in Oyo State, Primate Ayodele argued that political campaigns should be suspended in affected areas until victims are safely released.
“If your family is amongst those who, that they are kidnapped or those children in Oyo state, must they do any campaign in Oyo state for now? There should be no campaign until those children are released,” he stated.
He criticised political leaders for continuing campaign activities despite the prevailing security concerns confronting many communities. “But the government, this governor will still be saying vote for us, vote for what? Vote for what? For who? No. You don’t need our voting,” he said.
Primate Ayodele further alleged that politicians contributed to the emergence of terrorism and insecurity in the country, accusing political leaders of prioritising personal interests above national progress.
“That is the truth. I said it the other time, I said, who are the genesis of terrorism? It’s the politicians. They are the one who fabricated it. And they are not interested about your progress. They are only, they are selfish,” he added….Read_More…
