Gani Adams has said that kidnappers and terrorists behind recent attacks in Nigeria operate with tactics similar to armed robbers, making it difficult for communities and security agencies to anticipate their movements. He made the remarks while reacting to the Oyo State school abductions and the broader insecurity challenges facing the country.

Speaking during an interview from 4:48 on News Central TV, Adams argued that the attackers do not engage in conventional warfare where military forces can easily identify battle lines, assess strengths and prepare strategic responses in advance.

“They were just operating like armed robbers that people did not prepare for. Assuming they are fighting a full scale war that you can study their strengths and use your might to attack them, that’s a different thing entirely,” Adams said during the interview.
