According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, May 18, 2026, the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reportedly issued a strong warning to his political godfather and former governor of the state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, following comments allegedly made by Kwankwaso describing the governor as a “small boy.”
In the report, Governor Yusuf openly expressed his frustration while sending a direct message to the former governor. He stressed the need for mutual respect and warned that he might respond publicly if the repeated comments and criticisms against him continue.
Speaking in a viral video clip that has circulated widely online, Governor Yusuf said:
“Tell them that they are talking too much. Enough is enough. If they don’t stop, I will open my mouth and it will smell like hell.”
Governor Yusuf further expressed disappointment over what he described as disrespectful remarks allegedly made by Kwankwaso. According to him, it is unacceptable for an elderly man to repeatedly refer to another elderly individual as a “boy.”
