Nnamdi Iroegbu, a stalwart of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has commented on recent defections and political realignments within Nigeria’s opposition landscape.
He spoke during an interview from 1:58 on Trust TV, where discussions focused on shifting alliances among opposition parties, including the African Democratic Congress (African Democratic Congress), and the role of major political actors in coalition building, amid ongoing discussions about restructuring of opposition blocs ahead of future elections.
Speaking during the interview, Iroegbu said: “When he moved to ADC, I didn’t join him, I reached out to him and said ‘Sir, I hope there was a deal’. If there was no deal with National leader of ADC which is Atiku Abubakar that he is going to put the internet of Nigerians forward and above his aspiration, then Sir, it’s a waste of time.”
He explained that his position reflects the belief that political alliances should be guided by clear agreements centred on public interest rather than personal ambition.
