Convener of the Coalition of Delta North Youths, Ofochi Atagana, has alleged that corruption investigations involving former Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, were effectively stalled following his reported alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Atagana made the claim during an interview 5:05 on Channels Television, where he discussed the status of cases reportedly being handled by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against the former governor. His remarks come amid growing public scrutiny over the handling of high-profile corruption cases involving political figures.

Citing the status of the investigation, Atagana said, “The EFCC have concluded investigation against Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and they have water tight case against him.” He repeated the assertion for emphasis, insisting that the anti-graft agency had gathered sufficient evidence to proceed with prosecution before the matter lost momentum.
