Social activist and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain Aisha Yesufu has reacted to a viral video reportedly showing youths chanting in support of Peter Obi while APC campaign posters were allegedly set ablaze during a political gathering in Warri, Delta State.

The footage, which circulated on social media, prompted Yesufu to suggest that the development could reflect growing enthusiasm for Obi among some young Nigerians.

Initially expressing her reaction to the video, Yesufu said, “I wanted to write Tinubu and his APC people don’t know what is coming!”

She later alleged that the ruling party was aware of the political developments but had taken steps to discourage Nigerians from recognising what she described as an emerging trend.

Explaining her position, Yesufu added, “Then I realised they actually know what is coming and that is why they have deployed everything to discourage the people so the people don’t see what is coming,”

The video was also shared by an X user identified as “Son of Nobody,” who captioned it, “Tinubu campaign eventually turned into Peter Obi’s campaign. Warri pple Ona too do.”

The footage has attracted mixed reactions online, with some users interpreting it as a sign of changing political sentiments among youths, while others questioned the conclusions being drawn from the incident.
