In a recent interview from 01:40 shared by Arise TV, Member of the ADC National Legislators Forum, Kasimu Maigari, has expressed strong reservations about the political trajectory of Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Peter Obi is pushing 20 years away from coming to the presidency, he isn’t going to win this election,” Maigari stated, emphasizing what he described as a lack of strategic consistency. He argued that frequent shifts in political alignment may erode trust among party loyalists and create uncertainty within opposition ranks.
Speaking during the programme, Maigari criticized Obi’s recent political decisions, particularly his movement across party lines and its potential impact on his long-term ambitions. According to him, such actions could weaken the former presidential candidate’s chances of building the broad coalition required to secure victory at the national level.
Maigari further noted that many politicians aligning with Obi may be motivated by personal electoral ambitions rather than a shared ideological vision. This, he suggested, could undermine the cohesion needed to mount a strong challenge against the ruling party.
