Former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has praised his lawyer following a court victory over Governor Hope Uzodinma and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the dispute over the party’s ticket for the Imo West Senatorial District in the 2027 elections.
Speaking in an interview from 25:55 with Channels Television, Okorocha said his legal representative was not a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), unlike the lawyers representing Uzodinma and the APC, whom he described as some of the best legal minds in the country.
He also claimed that the judge found the election results presented by Uzodinma to be forged and written by one person. According to Okorocha, the facts of the case were clear and supported his position, enabling his lawyer to overcome the opposing legal team despite their senior status.
Praising his lawyer’s performance, Okorocha said, “I had just a simple lawyer, not even a SAN that defeated some of the best brains who are in the camp of Hope and the party. They are all SANs, mine is not a SAN because the facts speaks for itself”
