Nigerian economist and political analyst Professor Pat Utomi has responded to a report claiming that former Anambra State governor Peter Obi won six of Nigeria’s 10 largest local government areas.
Utomi reacted in a post on his official X account on Thursday, October 29, 2026, after the report circulated online.
The report listed Alimosho, Abuja Municipal, Port Harcourt, Jos North, Kosofe and Oshodi-Isolo as the six local government areas where Obi reportedly won.
Reacting to the report, Utomi argued that it challenged claims that Obi lacked a political structure or widespread public support. He urged those who questioned the former governor’s support base to consider the information presented in the report.
Sharing his response, Utomi wrote, “If anyone tells you that Peter Obi has no structure or lacks the support of the masses, show them this picture”.
