US President Donald Trump has stated that the United States does not need a deal with Iran to obtain the country’s enriched uranium, according to report by JERUSALEM POST on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday, as discussions surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme and relations between Washington and Tehran continue.

According to the US president, the United States has the capability to access Iran’s enriched uranium if necessary, but there is currently no reason to do so because it is already secured.

Trump also said he has no intention of meeting Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. However, he noted that such a meeting could take place if both countries reach an agreement in the future. He added that he would approach any such meeting with respect.

Trump stated,
