Nigerian politician Shehu Sani commented on the Binance tax evasion case in Nigeria. The FIRS, has dropped tax evasion charges against two Binance executives, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla. The case is now solely against the Binance cryptocurrency exchange platform itself.
Binance has appointed a Nigerian representative, Ayodele Omotilewa, to handle the revised charges, which allege Binance failed to collect required VAT on its crypto trading and remittance services in Nigeria.
The FIRS wants Binance’s rep to appear in court, but Binance disputes this is legally required.
Shehu Sani wrote this in a post on his verified Twitter page.
