According to a report by PUNCH on Thursday, April 23, 2026, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dan Ulasi, has shared details about his meetings with former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi.
Speaking about the visit, Ulasi said Obi usually informed him shortly before arriving at his residence. He explained that during one of such visits, he quickly invited some friends and notable people from the South-East to meet with Obi.
Ulasi also revealed that Obi had visited him several times this year, including a recent visit after attending an event at Coal City University in Enugu. He said the meetings gave him the chance to listen closely to Obi’s ideas for the country.
He praised Obi’s plans and said listening to him speak directly gives hope for Nigeria’s future. However, he did not clearly state any political support for Obi.
