‎According to a report by Daily Post, on Thursday April 23, 2026, the spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Habibu Saleh, has stated that former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is ready to accept any political role, including a vice-presidential position, if it will help the opposition win the 2027 general elections.

‎Saleh spoke about ongoing coalition talks among opposition politicians and also responded to comments made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Kwankwaso’s political influence, he said Kwankwaso’s main concern is not personal ambition but ensuring that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are defeated in the next election.

‎According to him, Kwankwaso believes the focus should be on strengthening democracy and offering Nigerians a better alternative, Saleh explained that Kwankwaso has been actively involved in building political alliances across the country.

‎He stated that the former governor has been meeting different groups and working behind the scenes to unite opposition forces ahead of 2027 and added that Kwankwaso is ready to make sacrifices if necessary for the success of any coalition.

‎He stressed that the goal is to present a strong front that can challenge the ruling party effectively, Saleh said Kwankwaso is not fixated on becoming a presidential candidate, he said the former governor is open to any arrangement that can deliver victory for the opposition.

‎He noted that even a vice-presidential slot would be acceptable if it strengthens the coalition and improves its chances at the polls, according to him, what matters most is winning the election and bringing positive change to the country.

‎“My principal Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is willing to accept any role, including a possible vice-presidential slot, if it will guarantee victory for the opposition in the 2027 general elections,” he said. Read_More…
