Gift Anioba has spoken about how her ex-husband lured her to his house and attacked her with acid
In an interview from 4:09 with Brekete Family, a human rights programme, Gift said her ex-husband asked her to come to his house so they could go and buy Christmas clothes for their children
Gift said she went to the house and met her ex-husband with his best friend. She stated that she entered the house and her ex-husband poured acid on her face. She said while she was searching for water to pour on her face, he poured the remaining acid on her back and fled the house
In Gift’s words: “He poured acid on my face, as I shouted his friend ran out of the house. While I was looking for water to pour myself he poured the remaining acid on my back then he ran out”
