Robinson Ewor has said that recent comments by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara have confirmed what he had been saying for months about the governor’s political position.
Speaking during an interview from 7:21 on Arise TV, Ewor said Fubara had already accepted the outcome of negotiations held during the period of emergency rule. According to him, the governor failed to explain the agreement to his supporters after the talks, leaving many of them confused about the direction of his political movement.
Ewor said that as early as January, he concluded that Fubara had surrendered politically and decided to return to the Rainbow Coalition, which he described as Wike’s political family. He added that those close to the governor were aware of the situation but did not openly admit it.
He recalled that when he first made his position public, many of Fubara’s supporters attacked him. He said they accused him of betraying the governor and dismissed his claims. However, Ewor maintained that he had only spoken the truth based on what he believed had happened during the negotiations.
According to him, Fubara’s recent revelation that he had returned to the Rainbow Coalition has now confirmed his earlier position. Ewor argued that the governor had not betrayed anyone but had simply made public the reality of the political agreement he reached months earlier.
