Senator Ali Ndume has reacted after Samaila Kaigama alleged that he acted as an “in-house” mediator for Boko Haram and that a large ransom was paid for the release of the victims kidnapped from Ngoshe community in Gwoza LGA.

In an interview from 16:54 with Arise TV, Ndume said he was never involved in any negotiations with the terrorists and did not pay any money to secure release of the kidnapped victims. He said he is not a Boko Haram sponsor, as alleged by Kaigama.

Ndume also said he has asked the security agencies to investigate both him and Kaigama. He added that he would file a defamation lawsuit against Kaigama.
