Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has insisted that he did not voluntarily leave the political parties he has been linked with, saying instead that he was effectively forced out by what he described as unacceptable treatment and conduct within those parties.
In an interview from 41:09 with LYONMACKTV, Obi announced plans to write a book detailing the circumstances surrounding his exits. He explained that disagreements over party positions and the attitudes of party leaders made his continued membership untenable, and that these conflicts, rather than a personal decision to quit, prompted his departures.
Obi framed his moves as responses to repeated clashes with party structures and leadership behavior, and said he will use his forthcoming book to set out the full account of those episodes.
Obi said,
“People have said, ‘Oh, he left APGA; oh, he left PDP.’ Eventually, in my life, I’m going to write a book and say how I left all these parties. I have never left any party. I was virtually chased out of each of them by what I consider unacceptable positions, attitudes, and everything towards me.” Read_More…
