Pastor David Oyedepo jnr, the founder and presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, emphasized the spiritual significance of giving during his sermon titled “Towards Maximizing Our Glorious Destiny in Christ 3C” at the Covenant Family Day Service.
He articulated that giving is not merely a donation to support the church, ministry, or minister, but a profound spiritual transaction.
In a sermon video he stated from 5 hours 5 minutes “If you don’t want to lose out on the harvest, you must never miss out on the seed,” Pastor Oyedepo declared, underscoring the importance of sowing seeds to guarantee a bountiful harvest.
He stressed that the principle of seedtime and harvest is a divine law, essential for those who wish to partake in God’s blessings, especially in this season. “The seed is the guarantee to the harvest. It is a law,” he stated, referencing Philippians 4:15-19 to illustrate his point.
Pastor Oyedepo explained that giving provokes receiving, and without sowing, there can be no supply. “Giving provokes receiving. So the supply answers to the sowing. No sowing, no supply. That is the law,” he affirmed. This principle, he emphasized, is not just a guideline but a spiritual law that governs divine provision.
He urged the congregation to understand that their contributions are not simply donations. “Your giving is not a donation to help the Church, the ministry, or the minister. It is a spiritual transaction that provokes the response of Heaven to release the supply that you require,” he explained. He reiterated that this concept has been a recurring message from God’s Servant, highlighting the importance of recognizing giving as an act that invokes divine response.
He further encouraged them to view their giving through a spiritual lens and understand its profound impact on their lives and that by treating their contributions as spiritual transactions, they can align themselves with divine principles and unlock heavenly provisions…..Sée Móre
