Nyesom Wike has reacted to the recent ruling by the Supreme Court of Nigeria on the leadership crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating that the judgment has effectively ended divisions within the party.
In a video from 3:14 shared by Arise TV, Wike explained that the court upheld the Abuja convention, which produced Abdulrahman as the party’s National Chairman, while nullifying the Ibadan convention that brought in Turaki. According to him, the outcome establishes a single, recognized leadership for the PDP, eliminating any basis for describing the party as factionalized.

Wike further suggested that some of the alternative political platforms being explored by these figures may be grappling with their own internal challenges, raising questions about their viability.
In his words, “My brother Bala Muhammad, and my friend Seyi Makinde, who I hear now is holding a coalition of opposition meeting, which we are not part of, we’re the main opposition party, I don’t know where they will be heading to.”
He maintained that with the court’s decision now in place, the PDP should focus on rebuilding cohesion and strengthening its position as a unified opposition party ahead of future elections…Read_More…
