Anthony Ekwane Oghenetega, a suspect, has stated that he and his friend were responsible for the death of a JAMB candidate, Thomson Adams.
In a video from 2:55 shared by Sahara TV, Ekwane said he and his friend lured Adams to an apartment after he finished writing JAMB examination in Ikorodu. He said they attacked Adams and strangled him to death.
Ekwane said when they realized Adams was dead, they started panicking because they did not know how to dispose of the body at first. He stated that they later tied Adams’ body and put it inside a Ghana-Must-Go bag that they had purchased. He said his friend then carried the bag containing the body on his head and took it out of the apartment
In Ekwane’s words: “I strangled the victim for around a minute. I got tired and weak and I told my friend to strangled him and then he also strangled the victim. When the victim was quiet, when we discovered that he was dead and we were panicking on how to dispose the body which we didn’t know how to at first. Then we tied the victim and put him in the Ghana-Must-Go bag that we purchased. I aided my associate to carry the bag and put on his head.
