Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has urged aspirants seeking Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly tickets under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain loyal, disciplined and committed to the party as the primaries commence, according to report by THISDAY on Saturday May 16 2026.
The governor made the remarks during a meeting with aspirants, party leaders and stakeholders at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Owerri.
Uzodimma described politics as a challenging venture that requires courage and sacrifice, stressing that not every aspirant would emerge successful at the end of the exercise.
He warned against desperation and advised contestants to continue supporting the APC regardless of the outcome of the primaries, noting that loyalty remains essential in partisan politics and democratic practice.
The governor also cautioned aspirants against spending money meant for important family responsibilities on political ambitions. He advised those seeking elective offices to carefully consider the financial risks involved before purchasing nomination forms.
