Nigerian actor and politician, Desmond Elliot, has commended the Tinubu administration for what he described as noticeable improvements in the education sector, particularly in the handling of admissions and official postings.

He made the remarks during an interview from 1:34 with TVC on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Elliot, who serves as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, said that during the previous administration, he frequently travelled to Abuja to assist constituents in securing admissions and postings, despite such responsibilities falling outside his official role as a lawmaker.

According to him, the current system appears to have reduced the level of political influence previously associated with such processes, making them more structured and efficient.
