President Donald Trump revealed on Friday that Chinese President Xi Jinping has made a significant commitment regarding Iran following their high-stakes diplomatic summit.

In an exclusive interview from 6:21 with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Trump discussed the complex dynamics between China and Iran, emphasizing that Beijing has agreed to limit its support for the Islamic Republic, particularly concerning military hardware.

During the interview, Trump was asked about China’s ongoing relationship with Iran and the extent to which President Xi might influence Tehran. Trump pointed to a major verbal commitment from the Chinese leader regarding military aid.

“We discussed it. I mean when you say support, they are not fighting a war with us or anything,” Trump told Hannity. “He said he’s not going to give military equipment. That’s a big step. He said that today. That’s a big statement. He said that strongly.”

“He would like to see the Strait of Hormuz opened. I said we did not stop it, they did and then we stopped them,” Trump remarked [06:40]. “Sort of interesting.
