Pastor Faith Oyedepo, the wife of Bishop David Oyedepo, has taken to her official Facebook page to warn against the dangers of bad friendships. According to her, the company you keep plays a significant role in determining your level of integrity.
In her post, she stated, “The kind of people you hang around determines your level of integrity. Even when you have a good foundation, if you have bad friends, they will corrupt you.” She emphasized the importance of surrounding oneself with people who share similar values and principles.
Pastor Oyedepo’s warning is a timely one, as many people often underestimate the influence their friends can have on their lives. Bad friendships can lead to negative influences, unhealthy habits, and even destruction of one’s reputation.
The cleric’s advice is in line with the biblical principle of “bad company corrupts good character” (1 Corinthians 15:33). She encouraged her followers to be mindful of the company they keep and to surround themselves with people who will uplift and support them in their walk with God.
She urged believers to be intentional about the company we keep and to prioritize relationships that will help us grow in our faith and character…..Sée Móre
