A federal lawmaker representing Pankshin Kanam in Plateau State, Honourable Yusuf Gagdi, has disputed the claims that Peter Obi enjoyed a sweeping wave of support in his constituency during the 2023 general election, he argued that Obi did not win a single vote advantage in Pankshin Kanam.

Speaking in an interview from 20:58 with Channels TV, Gagdi said, “I was elected to the National Assembly in 2019, then again in 2023. I will speak about what I know. Peter Obi did not win Pankshin Kanam. I won election in 2023 under the APC, with a margin of 31,000 votes, and I’m not bragging, I’m speaking facts to you. So if you think they are planning against us, what makes you think the APC is not planning to win? Are we sleeping?” he said.

Gagdi also challenged the sincerity of opposition figures like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, who have raised concerns about the timing of new State Police being put in place by the government.

He argued that their focus on timing rather than the actual loss of Nigerian lives reveals a political agenda rather than genuine concern for the safety of citizens.
