‎According to a report by Nigerian Tribune, on Thursday April 9, 2026, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called on Nigerians to seek spiritual guidance ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the country needs divine intervention to ensure a peaceful and successful electoral process.

‎Speaking on the state of the nation, the cleric said Nigeria is at a critical point where human efforts alone may not be enough to guarantee credible elections, he urged citizens to turn to God in prayers, noting that spiritual support is necessary to overcome the challenges facing the country.

‎Primate Ayodele explained that while political strategies and preparations are important, they must be supported by sincere prayers from the people, according to him, divine involvement will help guide leaders and voters towards making the right decisions during the election period.

‎He spoke about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the country still needs a leader with his kind of vision, however, he pointed out that many Nigerians are becoming tired due to the influence of certain individuals around the president.

‎The cleric noted that although the president may have good intentions for the country, the actions of those close to him are affecting public perception, he said these individuals may be limiting the president’s ability to fully understand the situation on ground.

‎Primate Ayodele warned that if such influences continue, they could create more dissatisfaction among citizens, he explained that this growing frustration may impact the chances of political leaders in future elections.

‎”Nigeria needs divine intervention for us to have a successful election. Nigeria needs someone like Tinubu, but they are tired of him because of the bad elements around him. He means well for Nigeria, but they have covered his sight; he can’t see far,” he added. Read_More…
