A 28-year-old man, Femi Agbeye, last week Wednesday allegedly slaughtered three members of his family, as it was reported that the once quiet community of Okitipupa in Ondo state was thrown into mourning after the incident.
The father of the suspect, Ade Agbey, speaking in an interview from 01:00 with an NTA correspondent, said that his son had been involved in the use of illicit substances and had been threatening to kill him and his mother for some time. He added that some women reported seeing the suspect forcefully opening the door to the house.
He further stated that upon entering the house, he found the bodies of the children lying on the floor in their mother’s room. He also said the suspect had previously been arrested but was released against his wishes before allegedly going on to commit the act.
He said, “My son has been involved in the use of illicit substances and has been threatening to kill me and his mother for sometime. Some women said they saw him forcefully opening the door to the house. When I entered the house, I saw the bodies of the children on the floor in their mother’s room. And I immediately went to the police to inform them about the incident.
“He had previously been arrested, but he was released against my wishing before going on to commit this heinous act.” Read_More…
