Former Secretary General of the Federation Babachir Lawal has alleged that Peter Obi threw away his support the moment he walked out of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking in an interview from 11:17 with Arise TV, the former SGF said, “Peter Obi hasn’t even lost my support. He threw away my support because he left the ADC. I have to operate on my own party platform. I can’t engage in anti-party activity because of Peter Obi, just because he is tall or short or educated. What would be the point? I have my own plans and processes and what I want to achieve.”
When asked whether he would now throw his weight behind either Alhaji Atiku Abubakar or Rotimi Amaechi within the ADC, Babachir Lawal said his current position on the party’s National Working Committee requires him to remain publicly neutral for now.
