During an exclusive interview from 8:08 with Channels Television on Tuesday, May 26, 2027, Majeed Dahiru, a media-political analyst and writer, gave his take on the insecurities in Nigeria.
In recent times, the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have ordered the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Army alongside other security agencies to clamp down on insurgents, as several attacks are being reported frequently.
However, Majeed Dahiru, a media-political analyst and writer, criticized the non-kinetic measures proposed by Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, an Islamic cleric, against insurgents, stressing that terrorists are to be eliminated and not negotiated with.
Dahiru maintained that the Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, cannot deny the fact that he is a sympathizer of bandits and terrorists.
