According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the military engaged in a friendly attack.
The news regarding the brutal attack on a popular market in Yobe State by the Nigerian Air Force which led to the death of over two hundred persons generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
In a twist of events, the military, in a bid to attack a terrorists hideout in Yobe State, mistakenly dropped a bomb in the market killing more than two hundred persons. The incident however, triggered massive public condemnations.
Reacting, Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, slammed the military for making such a costly mistake.
According to his statements, he pointed out that the Nigerian Air Force engaged in a friendly attack, proving their incompetence in defending the people.
