Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker has rose in defence of the former governor of Ekiti State and APC Chieftain, Ayodele Fayose.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Tuesday July 21st, 2026 he pointed out that only those allowed to criticized him were those with clean hands and conscience.
His comments came amid the heated arguments that trailed the former governor’s acceptance of an appointment to President Tinubu’s cabinet.
Ayodele Fayose, a well known critic of president Tinubu’s administration, it can be recalled, had categorically stated that he will never accept any role in president Tinubu’s government.
Shehu Sani, widely admired for his outspokenness, pointed out that the former Ekiti State governor did nothing wrong by accepting the appointment.
He maintained that Ayodele Fayose remained a grassroot politician who had cordial relationship with the people, with the new role affording him the opportunity to serve the people better.
