Iranian parliamentarian Ebrahim Azizi has declared that the United States will eventually withdraw from the Middle East, while predicting that Israel’s current regime will not last.
According to Al Jazeera on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Azizi, who chairs Iran’s parliament national security and foreign policy commission, said Iran would remain in the region despite ongoing tensions involving Washington and Tel Aviv.
He argued that Iran and its neighbouring countries would ultimately determine their future after the departure of foreign powers.
Azizi’s remarks come amid heightened tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States, with developments continuing to raise concerns about regional stability.
He also suggested that the eventual departure of the two countries would be viewed with regret, insisting that Iran and its neighbours would remain in the region.
Expressing his position on the future of the Middle East, Azizi said, “The US will inevitably leave this region, and the Zionist [Israeli] regime’s days are numbered.”
He added, “Ultimately, it is we and our neighbours who remain here, face to face. That day will be a day of regret.”
