During an interview from 10:37 on Nigeria Info FM, Majeed Dahiru spoke on recent political realignments involving Peter Obi and developments within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Dahiru said Obi’s move to the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) did not involve any attempt to take control of the party’s leadership, noting that he chose to align with its existing structure.

He contrasted this with what he described as the approach of Atiku Abubakar and his allies within the ADC, alleging that they sought to take over the party structure midway into its tenure without resolving internal disagreements.

According to him, “Obi has gone to the NDC now. He didn’t go demanding the dissolution of executives and taking over the party. He simply went in with Kwankwaso to work with the existing structure. But Atiku and his friends came into the ADC and decided to procure the structure midway into their tenure and were not able to settle all parties involved satisfactorily.

He argued that such actions contribute to internal crises within political parties, adding that unresolved disputes often weaken party cohesion and distract from broader democratic objectives.

“As soon as complications developed, how do you blame this on Tinubu? The question is, why are you still at this stage of our democracy going to procure parties off the shelf as though you would groceries, and you’re sitting on changing the structure to bring in your own men?”…Read_More…
