Hon. Bello El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has challenged authorities to formally charge his father in court if there is credible evidence proving the allegations often made against him.

Speaking during an interview from 0:30 with Viable TV, Bello El-Rufai expressed disappointment over what he described as the continuous public attacks and accusations directed at his father. According to him, it is unfair for people to keep labeling the former governor a thief and a “Christian killer” without taking legal action or presenting convincing evidence before a competent court.

The lawmaker, who currently serves as a member of the House of Representatives, insisted that he would never stand before Nigerians and defend what he does not believe in. He maintained that justice should always be based on facts and due process rather than emotional accusations or political propaganda.

In his words:

“I stand here as a member of the House of Representatives and as a public servant. I will not look at the public and lie about things I do not believe in. That is not in my nature. This is wrong. If Malam is a thief, as you claim, if Malam is a Christian killer, as you claim, please go ahead and charge him.”
